Cincinnati Public Radio (CPR) is an award winning, non-profit broadcasting organization providing news and classical music to an annual audience of over 280,000 listeners. Contributing to the vitality of the local community has always been inherent in the mission of Cincinnati Public Radio. When it was time to build their new home, CPR and its supporters envisioned a forward looking building that values environmental sustainability as well as occupant and community wellness. Their new 32,000 sf headquarters engages the community, promotes professional growth and collaboration, and satisfies the technological and operational needs of a vibrant community service for the immediate and long-term future.

As a continually operational broadcasting facility, security, health, and wellness are among the most critical aspects to CPR. There will be secure, layered access points to help staff and visitors feel safe. Staff and guests will have direct access to an adjacent park that can be utilized for meetings, meal breaks, or before or after work as part of an individual’s exercise regimen. The building incorporates a modern mass timber structure, which provides warmth and a distinctive richness with the exposed wood on the interior, The mass timber reduces the need to add other finishes and also sequesters carbon.
