As part of a three-building project at U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground, this two-bay fixed wing aircraft operations hangar supports scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, flight operations, administration, tool and parts storage, and maintenance shops. The facility incorporates advanced systems including fire alarm and suppression, mass notification, energy management controls, secure communications, intrusion detection, electronic access control, EMCS integration, and a protected distribution system. The project also included a new taxiway and runway, hangar and personnel aprons, airfield lighting, and extensive site and utility infrastructure improvements. Designed to meet LEED Silver standards, the facility was not submitted for certification due to security requirements.
