emersion DESIGN partnered with CHPL to transform this branch into a Next Generation Library, creating a vibrant, accessible community hub that supports underserved youth through after-school enrichment and academic growth. Renovations included a new accessible vestibule entrance, fully ADA-compliant restrooms, enhanced pedestrian safety, and reconfigured interiors that maximize the existing footprint with dedicated active and quiet zones for programming. A new acoustical ceiling treatment improves comfort and functionality within the space. The revitalized library expands opportunities for learning, connection, and community engagement while serving as a welcoming resource for neighborhood residents.
