new fire station 6
emersion DESIGN conducted a feasibility study and developed a concept design for a new fire station focused on operational efficiency, firefighter wellness, and community value. Shaped through collaboration with Bangor Township’s first responders and leadership, the proposed station supports both emergency readiness and daily operations. The design includes three drive-through apparatus bays with vehicle exhaust (VEX) capture systems, along with a kitchen, day room, fitness room, and sleeping quarters to support firefighter health and well-being. Accommodating six full-time firefighters and two day staff, the station is organized for efficient response and functional day-to-day operations. The project also includes demolition of an abandoned structure, creating a renewed civic presence for the site. Throughout the process, emersion emphasized practical solutions and clear communication to align the vision with operational and community goals.
