emersion DESIGN was the lead architect of the new 50,000 SF three-story, LEED Gold, American Red Cross Headquarters, visible from I-71 and located at Keystone Parke in Cincinnati, Ohio. The multiple award-winning building includes comprehensive disaster operations center, training and education spaces, an auditorium, conference and meeting spaces, volunteer workstations, a warehouse, an emergency vehicle preparation dock/garage, and administrative offices. The auditorium, disaster operations center, and several conference rooms are connected via moveable walls for maximum flexibility to accommodate operations for any size disaster. The main lobby features area rugs and flexible seating that provide a comforting public waiting area but are easily moved to provide space for large fundraising events.
